The 3rd Taiwan-Indonesia International Seminar on Low-Carbon Construction

TI-STIC together with Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), successfully hosted the 3rd Taiwan-Indonesia International Seminar on Low-Carbon Construction on August 21, 2025, in Surabaya. The forum focused on carbon reduction strategies and innovative technologies in the construction sector, featuring keynote speeches, academic presentations, and industry sharing. Experts and leaders from government, academia, and industry in both Taiwan and Indonesia participated, exploring policy alignment, technology transfer, and opportunities for local application.

As part of the program, the TI-STIC delegation also visited ITS’s Civil Engineering laboratories, the Surabaya Environmental Agency (DLHK kota Surabaya), the Renewable Energy Integration Demonstrator of Indonesia (REIDI) at ITS, and the TPA Benowo. These visits deepened bilateral exchanges on waste management, renewable energy, and sustainable construction practices, further strengthening Taiwan-Indonesia collaboration in circular economy and low-carbon development.
