BRIN Encourages Young Innovator Collaboration to Achieve the SDGs

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), in collaboration with IGCN (UN Global Compact Network Indonesia), has launched the SDGs Innovation Accelerator for Young Professionals 2025 program to promote the active role of young professionals in creating innovative solutions that support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). BRIN’s Deputy for Research and Innovation Utilization, R. Hendrian, emphasized that BRIN widely opening opportunities for collaboration with industries and young professionals, including access to BRIN’s science and technology parks and incentives such as super tax deductions for reseaech and innovation.
In 2025, a total of 94 young professionals from 24 innovation teams representating 20 companies in Indonesia will take part in the SDGI program, accompanied by mentors and champions from their respective companies. The participants innovations cover sector such as energy, agriculture, financial services, and retail. The six best teams will have the opportunity to present at the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit in New York this September, showcasing Indonesia’s contributions on the global innovation stage for sustainable development.
