As a subsidiary of the German building materials group Knauf, Knauf Indonesia is committed to strengthening its presence in the local construction industry by developing building materials that meet international standards while emphasizing environmental friendliness and sustainability. Their key products include multifunctional gypsum boards that are heat-resistant, moisture-resistant, impact-resistant, and equipped with passive air-purifying technology to absorb harmful substances like formaldehyde and VOCs. This innovation, launched in 2023, was inspired by increased awareness of indoor air quality during the pandemic.
Knauf also emphasizes the use of safe and recyclable materials, such as 100% recycled paper and natural gypsum minerals. Other notable products include waterproof fiberglass cement boards and acoustic ceiling panels like Heradesign and Cleaneo.
During its participation at ARCH:ID 2025, Knauf showcased an installation titled Negative Matter in collaboration with K-Thengono Design Studio and Wonders of Weaving, aiming to educate the public on the importance of choosing safe, healthy, and eco-friendly construction materials. Knauf remains committed to supporting modern sustainable architecture and contributing positively to the environment and future generations.
