The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) will hold the Annual Indonesia Green Industry Summit (AIGIS) 2025 on August 20–22 at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC). The event aims to accelerate the national manufacturing industry’s transition toward eco-friendly practices, under the theme “Accelerating Industrial Decarbonization through Green Industry Ecosystems”, supporting Indonesia’s net zero emissions target by 2060 and the industry sector’s goal by 2050.
One key initiative at AIGIS 2025 is the launch of the Green Industry Service Company (GISCO)—a financing instrument to help the manufacturing sector adopt low-carbon technologies and improve energy efficiency. GISCO is designed to assist industries facing investment challenges in going green.
AIGIS 2025 will also highlight the challenges in implementing a circular economy, particularly the limited supply of high-quality recycled materials in Indonesia, which leads to reliance on imports in industries such as automotive, textiles, plastics, and electronics.
Through GISCO and a stronger circular economy, manufacturing costs are expected to decrease, import dependency reduced, and local products’ competitiveness increased, while supporting decarbonization through green technologies and energy efficiency.
Kemenperin invites all stakeholders—including industries, academics, and the public—to participate in AIGIS 2025 and to collaborate with global industry players for technology sharing and job creation in Indonesia.
