PT Pertamina (Persero) is strengthening its Net Zero Emission (NZE) roadmap as part of its commitment to safeguarding national energy security and supporting sustainable development. This initiative was inaugurated at an event held at Grha Pertamina (11/8), which also marked the launch of the Pertamina University Sustainability Center and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pertamina Foundation and the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas. Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bapennas Rachmat Pambudy emphasized Pertamina’s strategic role as a leader in the energy sector and a driving force in the energy transition, contributing to three major national targets: food self-sufficiency, energy self-sufficiency, and water self-sufficiency. Pertamina’s President Commissioner, Mochamad Irawan, added that energy sovereignty and sustainability are top priorities, with Pertamina responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and affordable energy supply for the people of Indonesia.
Pertamina’s President Director, Simon Aloysius Mantiri, stressed that Pertamina’s vision and mission are aligned with the Asta Cita agenda and the 2025-2045 National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN), positioning NZE 2060 as a long-term strategic commitment integrated with the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. The dual growth strategy for 2025 places Pertamina as part of the global energy transition solution, by strengthening existing businesses while also developing green energy in Indonesia. Pertamina is also committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and implementing Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles across all business lines, focusing on renewable energy, clean energy, and green innovations that deliver tangible impacts for both economic and environmental sustainability.
