SIC Invests in Nandina REM to Strengthen Taiwan's Role in the Aerospace Circular Economy and Sustainable Development

Sustainable Impact Capital (SIC), a group of forward-thinking investors and entrepreneurs dedicated to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), recently announced a strategic investment in Nandina REM, a leader in the aerospace circular economy sector. This round of funding will support Nandina REM's mission to decarbonize the global high-end manufacturing supply chain.

Nandina REM transforms high-precision engineering assets, starting with retired aircraft, into next-generation, high-quality materials for diverse industrial applications, particularly aerospace-grade recycled carbon fiber. This material offers performance comparable to virgin carbon fiber, significantly reduces manufacturing costs, and cuts energy consumption by up to 71%. It is well-suited for high-end manufacturing applications such as aircraft cabin interiors, electric vehicle battery enclosures, and high-performance automotive components.

Over the next decade, more than 15,000 aircraft are expected to be retired globally. Nandina REM is dedicated to transforming this waste into resources for high-end manufacturing, addressing the growing demand for critical materials and resources. With support from SIC, Nandina REM will continue to drive sustainable development and technological innovation, establishing a new paradigm for the global circular economy and contributing to the creation of an inclusive and sustainable future.
