The Ministry of the Interior of Taiwan is formulating the “Flagship Program for Net Zero Carbon Emission Reduction in Buildings” to drive carbon emission reduction through three main pillars: renovation of old houses and social housing towards net zero, improvement of building energy efficiency, and smart net zero transformation. This program aims to encourage the private sector to follow suit in enhancing building energy efficiency to support the net zero emissions target by 2050.

Additionally, the Ministry of the Interior is participating in the Net Zero City 2050 Exhibition and presenting the Net Zero Vision Pavilion, which consists of five main zones: Net Zero Policy, Net Zero Buildings, Sustainable Land, Net Zero Green Path, and Net Zero Solutions for Industry. The exhibition showcases various net zero policy achievements, including the implementation of solar energy in industrial buildings, regulatory incentives for building efficiency and carbon management strategies.
