Our Taiwan-Indonesia Science and Technology Innovation Center (STIC) visited Chieh An Company in Miaoli County on November 19th. Established in 1970, Chieh An initially focused on plastic pellet manufacturing. In 1994, the company successfully transitioned into an environmental enterprise specializing in industrial waste management. Upholding its environmental mission, Chieh An assists various factories in processing industrial waste by advanced technologies. This approach reduces the burden of waste on the land while strictly adhering to government environmental regulations, making Chieh An a model company in Taiwan’s waste management industry. The company is proud to own some cutting-edge technologies such as the separation of aluminum and plastic from the composite waste materials. It also provides tailor-made separation and recycling technologies for big semiconductor companies such as TSMC. Through some years of collaboration, the partnership has been established of which win-win situation is there.

During the visit, General Manager Huang guided us through the factory, providing in-depth insights into Chieh An’s core technologies and equipment. Chieh An’s commitment to environmental protection and corporate responsibility was truly impressive. The company actively implements measures to reduce energy consumption and emissions during production while rigorously following environmental regulations to minimize its impact on the environment. This demonstrates Chieh An’s steadfast dedication to sustainable development.

The visit deeply highlighted Chieh An’s remarkable expertise in waste treatment and resource recycling. Their innovative technologies and efficient operations not only set a benchmark for Taiwan’s environmental industry but also provide valuable insights for future green technology collaborations between Taiwan and Indonesia.
