BRIN, through the Center for Electronics Research (PRE) under the Organization for Electronics and Informatics Research (OREI), has established a collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Widyatama to develop smart sensors and actuator systems for sustainable environmental pollution monitoring. This partnership was formalized through signed agreement in Bandung and is expected to foster technological innovations that provide direct benefits to society, while also encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration within the university.
The developed sensors will focus on monitoring soil, water, and air conditions and have potential applications in agriculture, fisheries, and disaster mitigation. The research also aims to produce systems capable of operating 24 hours a day and deliver outputs such as prototypes, scientific publications, and intellectual property from various engineering study programs.
