Pertamina New & Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE) has officially launched the Green Movement as a concrete step in internalizing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles across all levels of the organization. This initiative aims to build sustainability awareness from the workplace to the wider community, focusing on waste reduction, energy efficiency, and fostering a green culture. On the same day as the launch, Pertamina NRE also signed a memorandum of understanding with Akar Insani Indonesia Association to jointly develop a sustainability-based cultural preservation program.
This collaboration covers education, campaigns, advocacy, and community empowerment rooted in environmental and cultural values. Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri emphasized that sustainability is not only about the environment but also about preserving cultural values. With three main pillars—environmentally conscious lifestyle education, healthy living campaigns, and environmentally inspired arts and culture—Green Movement is expected to bring tangible short-, medium-, and long-term impacts, while reaffirming Pertamina NRE’s role as pioneer of green transformation in Indonesia’s energy sector.
