The Ministry of Environment (MOENV) launched the Net-Zero Green Lifestyle Alliance on February 18 as part of its commitment to promoting Taiwan’s 2050 net-zero emissions goal under the “National Project of Hope.” Over 20 organizations from industry, academia, and research sectors joined the alliance, pledging to implement green lifestyle practices in the workplace and daily life. The alliance aims to foster awareness of net-zero values among employees, build a corporate-driven green culture, and encourage the public to adopt sustainable behaviors through education, collaboration, and innovation.
A series of forums under the alliance focused on topics, such as green offices, green tourism, green diets, and green consumption. Experts and industry leaders shared strategies for making sustainability practical and engaging within organizations, including low-carbon dining, eco-friendly commuting, and incentive-based employee programs. The alliance serves as a collaborative platform to share green living trends, match industry needs with sustainable solutions, and drive Taiwan’s societal transformation toward a resilient and inclusive green economy.
